Product Overview
These are true hot rolled H beams – profiled from beam blanks on a universal mill, so the flanges are parallel inside and out with square edges and the web-to-flange fillet is a smooth radius rather than a stress-raising weld. Compared with a welded H section, the rolled beam is dimensionally accurate, has no weld defects and resists web buckling better, and it can be bolted splice-to-splice on site, which takes most of the welding time out of erection.
