Product Overview
SAE1006 is the softest rod we roll: carbon stays at or below 0.08% with 0.25-0.40% manganese, so the structure is almost fully ferritic and the rod welds without forming hard martensitic spots. Low temperature laying and slow cooling keep properties uniform along the whole coil, which is why it draws down past 3 mm without breaking on a mesh welder or an electrode core line.

Applications
Welded into building mesh, floor heating mesh, guardrail mesh and galvanized welded fencing, and used as the core wire for E6013 and E7018 welding electrodes. Buyers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East run it on slab reinforcement mesh and farm fencing, where a low yield-to-tensile ratio and non-brittle welds matter more than raw strength.
Packing / Delivery / Payment
Shipped in strapped bare coils, or pickled and oiled with moisture barrier paper wrapping. A 20GP takes 25-28 tons. Common sizes are ex-stock with 15-25 days lead time after deposit. Payment by T/T 30% deposit against copy B/L, or L/C at sight. Mill test certificate, third-party inspection report from SGS or BV, packing list and Certificate of Origin are provided.
