Product Overview
The Y fence post is cold roll formed from galvanized or black strip into a Y section whose two sloping legs stiffen the post against bending in every direction – noticeably stiffer than a flat T post of the same weight. Punched wire holes take plain wire, barbed wire or mesh panels, the profile is normally supplied hot dip galvanized at 60-120 g/m2 so it stands up to years of weathering, and the lower end is cut to a point or fitted with a driving plate so it goes into pasture with a post driver or a hand maul. Where livestock lean on a fence, or where a boundary run is long and unsupported, the Y section holds its line better.
