Product Overview
Round bar is rolled from continuously cast billet through roughing, intermediate and finishing stands plus a sizing mill, which keeps it round and holds size along the bar – front and tail tensile values normally stay within 30 MPa of each other. As a general machining steel it turns, drills and thread rolls as rolled, or can be normalised to refine grain; where tight dimensional control is needed we supply peeled and centreless ground bright bar.
