Product Overview
Galvanized pipe is produced from ERW high frequency welded pipe that is pickled and then immersed in molten zinc, so both the outside and the bore are coated at 200-500 g/m2 – which is why it can carry potable water. The weld is checked inline by eddy current and every length is hydrostatically or pneumatically tested after galvanizing. Ends can be threaded and supplied with galvanized couplings so the pipe screws together on site with no welding.
